I emailed my friend Sally that I'm getting old and forgetful. I was forgetful when I was younger but I've forgotten about that. I lose things because I put them down and forget where I put them. So I buy them again and then find the ones I already had.
Sally sent me an email with a link to a Mayo Clinic article on Healthy Aging.
I emailed back, "Thanks for the link. I thought it would tell me to eat mayonnaise. I like that solution better." I thought it was funny, but it is kinda corny. And that's unusual because Best Foods Mayonnaise doesn't use corn syrup or corn oil. OK enough with the puns.
I really am getting confused. I get way too much email, probably from registering on websites for whatever they are promoting or selling. I subscribe to a lot of financial newsletters that give stock tips like horse racing tips, "Put $50 on Bobtail, Inc. to win on the 8th in the New York Stock Exchange."
I don't check my email regularly because of all this junk mail. Today I found an email from Sally from over a week ago about buying Season Tickets to the Performing Arts Center. Sally couldn't or didn't want to go to all five shows in the series, but she wanted to go to Wilson Phillips on October 11th (my birthday), and Vicki Lawrence on March 12, 2016.
I just bought a ticket to Wilson Phillips for myself. Talk about bad timing. I emailed Sally that I could get her a ticket but we wouldn't be seated together. The closest seat was three seats down from mine. I thought we might be able to get the two people in between to slide over in one direction or the other so we could sit together. So I ordered that ticket for her.
Since the Vicki Lawrence show isn't for another six months, I thought there wouldn't be any rush to buy seats, but I checked out the venue anyway. Vicki is pretty popular here and her show was selling out as quickly as Wilson Phillips. The W-P tickets are $15 more than Vicki and Mama, which might be a factor, but I always liked Vicki on Carol Burnett and her Mama's Family show was funny too.
This time I was able to get two seats together in the front row, Row A, on the right side of the auditorium. I noticed the same two seats in Row D on the left side were taken. Those are the two in between the two I bought for Wilson Phillips, so those two might be Season Tickets or at least the same two people who don't want the Aisle seat might have bought them.
The San Ramon Community Chorus presented a Cole Porter show last Friday. I was planning to attend but I got lazy and didn't want to drive up there at night. I'm usually better at going places when another person is going and expects me to be there. So I will go to the Wilson Phillips and Vicki Lawrence shows now that Sally is going too.
