Danville holding public safety town hall on Saturday

Mayor, police chief, sheriff, fire chief set to present downtown

Danville Mayor Renee Morgan is set to host three key local public safety leaders for a roundtable discussion with the community on Saturday morning at the Veterans Memorial Building.

Held as part of the mayor's quarterly town hall series, the public safety meeting will feature Contra Costa County Sheriff David O. Livingston, Danville police chief Steve Simpkins and San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District fire chief Paige Meyer.

They will update attendees on recent activities, programs and information within their service area. The event will also include a K-9 demonstration by Danville police officer Emily Neabeack and police dog Aik.

A brief question-and-answer session with the audience will follow.

Free and open to all residents, the public safety town hall is scheduled to run from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 400 Hartz Ave.
