San Ramon: City hosting open house with new swim instructors

San Ramon Swim and Sport now leading swim lessons at city pools

City officials are holding an open house this Saturday at the San Ramon Olympic Pool and Aquatic Center to give residents the chance to interact with the city's new swimming instructors.

San Ramon Swim and Sport is the new company leading swim lessons at the two city pools for the summer and fall lesson program.

Officials said they hope the new firm will "provide more service to the San Ramon community" while guiding them through the registration process to graduation from swim school.

"Learning to swim is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement, and we want that learning to be an extremely positive and memorable experience for every member of the family," officials said on the city's aquatics webpage. "San Ramon Swim and Sport has a proprietary teaching method and a process for delivering the service and will share their vast experience with the community."

The open house is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the pool center at 9900 Broadmoor Drive, next to California High School.

San Ramon Swim and Sport representatives and instructors will be on hand to answer questions about registration and the new swim lesson program. Recreation swim for the whole family will take place from 1-4 p.m. during the open house.

The company will also lead swim lessons this summer and fall at Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center, 10550 Albion Drive next to Dougherty Valley High School.
