The Danville Town Council is set to review the past year’s activities and accomplishments at a special meeting Friday morning.

The annual workshop, scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. at Crow Canyon Country Club (711 Silver Lake Drive), will evaluate the state of the town both in terms of its present situation and future plans.

The meeting will open with an overview of the town’s accomplishments from the past year in a variety of fields, including legislative activity, financial administration, community outreach, police and emergency services and more.

Council members will then review the status of the town’s finances as of Dec. 31, the mid-point of the fiscal year, and then look at the current status and future needs of Danville’s Capital Improvement Program projects.

After that, the council will hear a presentation on the implementation of the new Parks, Recreation and Arts Strategic Plan approved last year. It will be followed by a legislative update at the regional, state and federal levels; a discussion on the town’s communication and outreach strategies; a review and update of Town Council guidelines; and finally an overview of business activity and development in Danville.

The meeting is open to the public. For more information, check out the meeting overview.
