Danville council to discuss development impact fees

Also: Update on Village Theatre parking lot project

The Danville Town Council is set to receive two presentations at a study session Tuesday morning.

The council will first receive a report on the amount and use of development impact fees for fiscal year 2016-17.

Development impact fees are the fees charged to applicants during the development approval process, when projects impact public facilities. The fees are designated to be used for public facility improvements related to the development projects.

Council members will then be updated on the status of the Village Theatre parking lot expansion project in downtown Danville.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the town offices at 510 La Gonda Way.
