Residents can sign up now for San Ramon’s Park and Community services annual Bah Humbug! 5K fitness fun run and walk, set for this weekend.

The race is scheduled for Saturday and will take participants on a route winding through San Ramon, a good option for all skill levels.

All participants will receive a holiday long sleeved t-shirt and the famous Bah Humbug! Ornament. Those who finish in the top three spots of their age group will receive awards and be placed in contention for the Mayor’s Crown, which combines the times of the 2018 Bah Humbug and 2019 Run San Ramon race.

Pre-registered racers can pick up their shirt prior to the event at San Ramon’s Sports Basement, 1041 Market Place, on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Not wanting to neglect the giving spirit of the season, organizers are asking participants to bring a can of food which will be donated to the Contra Costa County Food Bank and distributed to families in need. Donors be warned the holiday spirit has been known to grow even the coldest hearts three sizes in a single day.

Tuesday marks the last day for online registration but participants can still register in person with race-day registration tables will open from 7:30-8:45 a.m. and cost $45.
