Danville: Town Council, staff to meet for annual goal-setting workshop

Officials set Friday to review past achievements, identify future challenges

The Danville Town Council is all set to meet with staff and hold their annual goal-setting and planning workshop this Friday morning.

The workshop serves as an opportunity for town officials to review their goals for the coming year, identify potential challenges and ensure that the government is operating as effectively as possible, according to a staff report by Town Manager Joe Calabrigo.

Town staff and council members will begin the meeting by recognizing the town’s recent achievements, discussing its financial outlook, reviewing the status of its capital improvement programs and will receive an update on relevant regional, state and federal legislation.

Council members will then discuss operational updates, review Town Council guidelines, and close with their annual council/commission workshop.

The special workshop meeting is scheduled to get underway at 8:30 a.m. at Crow Canyon Country Club, 711 Silver Lake Drive in Danville.
