Danville mayor set to deliver State of the Town address March 28

Storer to discuss issues affecting Danville, honor Community Award winners

Danville residents will have the opportunity to meet with their civic leaders and learn about their town over lunch in less than a month, when Mayor Robert Storer leads the annual State of the Town and Awards Luncheon on March 28.

Set to be held at Danville’s Crow Canyon Country Club and organized by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, Storer will discuss the issues facing the town, the achievements it has accomplished and honor the chamber's Community Award winners for 2018.

Community Awards to be distributed to exceptional people in the following categories: Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year, Charitable Organization of the Year, Citizen of the Year and Employee of the Year.

This is Storer’s second time serving as Danville’s mayor, having previously served in the position in 2014.

During the event attendees will be served a salad, lunch entree, dessert, as well as coffee and iced tea.

Tickets to attend the function cost $40 and can be purchased online at or by calling the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce at 837-4400.

The State of the Town and Awards Luncheon is scheduled for March 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Crow Canyon Country Club, 711 Silver Lake Drive, Danville.
