Charlie Brown and the whole “Peanuts” gang will be jumping off of the comic strip and onto the stage next week, when the Village Theatre and Art Gallery’s newest performance “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” opens in downtown Danville on May 24.

The Play follows the beloved characters created by Charles M. Schulz, as they navigate the triumphs and pitfalls of childhood. The play also pay particular attention to everyone’s favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown, as he continues his search for love, pitches in a chaotic baseball game, receives some classic 5 cent psychiatry and exclaims good grief at his various life predicaments.

The cast features Alex Borja as Charlie Brown, Melissa Marie as Lucy Van Pelt, Hannah Conner as Sally Brown, Tyler Dean as Linus Van Pelt, Miles Preclaro as Schroeder and Hayley Kennen as Snoopy.

This is the Village Theatre’s second play of the 2018/19 season, and is set to have Mike Kasin return to direct the production .

“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” opens Memorial Day weekend, running from May 24, through June 2 at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery, 233 Front Street, in downtown Danville. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $15 to $25.
