Downtown Danville’s Village Theatre and Art Gallery has announced that it will be extending its box office hours and offer regular times during the week for customers to come by and purchase tickets in an effort to better accommodate patrons.
The theater has replaced its old policy of only opening the box for limited hours just before showtime, and will now offer regular hours running every Wednesday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
“As the town of Danville continues to add and expand high quality programming at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery, the hours of the box office at the venue will increase as well,” town officials announced in a statement. “The expanded hours are a part of that commitment, allowing residents to purchase tickets for upcoming shows like Comedy with Liz Grant & Friends, the Preschool Performance Series, The Glass Menagerie and much more.”
The Village Theatre and Art Gallery is located at 233 Front St. in downtown Danville and is known in the town for offering a wide variety of performing and visual arts events.
While visiting the box office, residents are also encouraged to visit the theater's current gallery exhibit “Luminous: Radiating and Reflecting Light,” which features a large variety of work and subject matter from the California Watercolor Association. The showing is set to run through June 15.
