San Ramon’s own professional dance troupe is set to once again take the stage at Dougherty Performing Arts Center this weekend, when the Jumpin’ at the Sun Dance Company returns for their fall performance.

Set to return on Sept. 27 and 28, the performance entitled “Artistry in Motion” will feature a diverse series of choreography including jazz, tap and contemporary, set to a wide variety of musical genres.

Founded by mother daughter duo and co-artistic directors Debbie Saravia and Lindsey Saravia-Neville, Jumpin’ at the Sun seeks to provide East Bay communities with opportunities to witness high-quality and fun dance performances, without having to travel to San Francisco.

“We strive to destigmatize professional dance and show that dance is an art form meant to be shared and enjoyed in a casual, comfortable, and welcoming environment where dance aficionados and people who have never seen dance before can come together and be entertained and inspired at a reasonable price,” they wrote on their website.

San Ramon’s professional dance troupe will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on both Sept. 27 and 28.

Tickets are $22 and can be purchased online, by calling 973-3343, or in person at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center, 10550 Albion Road, San Ramon.
