Four new merchants open their doors at City Center Bishop Ranch

Joe & The Juice, Paper Source, Pottery Barn Kids and Modern Acupuncture

The collection of shops and restaurants found in City Center Bishop Ranch continues to grow -- most recently with the announcement that Joe & The Juice, Paper Source, Pottery Barn Kids and Modern Acupuncture have opened their doors in San Ramon’s community gathering place.

The four merchants join a large variety of shops and restaurants found at the San Ramon complex that include The LOT, the Slanted Door, M by Maggie Rizer, Roam Artisan Burgers and Williams-Sonoma, among others.

“City Center Bishop Ranch is quickly becoming the go-to destination for distinctive shopping and dining in the Tri-Valley and beyond,” said Alexander Mehran Jr., president and chief executive officer of Sunset Development Company -- owner and developer of the 300,000-square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment center. “Adding specialty brands like these four new offerings provides our guests with an exceptional customer experience they simply can’t find anywhere else in the region.”

Leading the group of new merchants is the Copenhagen Joe & The Juice, a juice bar and coffee shop that creates juices, shakes, coffee and sandwiches with natural and organic ingredients.

Described as “a beacon for millennials and urban trendsetters” by City Center officials, Joe & The Juice has opened more than 300 locations in cities around the world, San Ramon’s location will be located next to the City Center valet station along Bollinger Canyon Road.

“We are very excited to expand our U.S. presence with the opening of our newest location at City Center Bishop Ranch,” Andreas Peter Dipo Zimmermannof, U.S. director of Joe & The Juice, said in a statement. “We want the people of San Ramon to make Joe & The Juice their go-to place for fresh-pressed juice and craft coffee served with a side of edge.”

Next up, premier paper and gift store Paper Source will be opening its doors next to Equinox and across from The Slanted Door, offering shoppers a curated selection of fine and artisanal papers, invitations, gifts, gift wrap, greeting cards as well as an exclusive collection of envelopes and cards.

City Center officials say “Paper Source is committed to offering inspiration and innovation to their customers as they celebrate all of life’s moments, both big and small, with the overall goal of enabling customers to 'Do Something Creative Every Day.'"

Offering a space for kids and their parents to decorate their space with specialty home furnishings and decorative accessories, Pottery Barn Kids is open now on the ground level next to its grownup version of Pottery Barn.

There, customers can shop creative and kid-friendly designs for innovative spaces in the nursery, bedroom and playroom.

Also joining the ranks of merchants who have found a home in City Center is Modern Acupuncture, a health and well-being acupuncture shop that will be located between Laser Away and Fieldwork Brewing Co.

I typically drive past businesses, with names that give no idea what is going on inside. I still have no reason to stop at the LOT!
