San Ramon: Bah Humbug! 5K Run/Walk offers healthy and fun holiday activity

Plus: First-ever 1K Kid's Dash to occur for junior athletes ages 4 to 9

Tri-Valley residents looking to start off the month of December with a healthy and fun activity are in luck because the city of San Ramon is once again hosting its annual Bah Humbug! 5K Run/Walk.

Set to be held on Dec. 7, runners -- who are strongly encouraged to participate while dressed in their best holiday themed costumes -- will be taken on a route through the city with the starting and ending point located at the San Ramon Central Park Community Center.

While participants are welcome to run at their own pace, medals will be given out to the first three finishers in each age division for the run, with awards set to be handed out after the final age group winner crosses the finish line.

Those who finish in the top three spots of their age group will also be placed in contention for the Mayor’s Crown, which combines the times of the 2019 Bah Humbug! and 2020 Run San Ramon race -- the Mayor’s Crown recipient will be honored during a special ceremony after the 2020 Run San Ramon on July 4, 2020.

Plus, all registered participants will receive a holiday long sleeved t-shirt and the famous Bah Humbug! Ornament -- shirts and ornaments are only guaranteed to pre-registered participants.
