Laughter will be heard ringing through downtown Danville later this week when comedian Liz Grant returns to the Village Theatre and Art Gallery alongside some of her most talented friends in comedy.
In addition to the off-the-wall comedic perspective and spontaneous energy brought by Grant, popular Bay Area comic Reggie Steel will be making a return appearance to the town during this performance, one of a monthly series featured in Danville.
A comedian since 2000, town staff say Steele was quickly catapulted to success when he was featured on Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment Stand-Up, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen and Nickelodeon’s Nickmom.
Steele is also an actor who residents may recognize from appearances on “Love on the Lin,” “Nowhere Girl” and the Netflix original series “13 Reasons Why.”
Also featured in the upcoming performance is Orinda resident Andrew Orolfo who was recently featured on the “Late Late Show with James Corden,” and performed on Comedy Central’s Clusterfest, SF Sketchfest and Limestone Comedy Festival.
Comedians may use mature themes and language in their material, so theater officials have set an age recommendation of 16 years old and up -- but comedy fans under 16 can attend if accompanied by an adult.
“Comedy with Liz Grant & Friends” featuring Reggie Steele and Andrew Orolfo will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery, 233 Front St., downtown Danville.
Tickets can be purchased online for $20.
