The 11th annual Recreation Expo is set to return to Danville on Feb. 8, providing residents the opportunity to learn about recreational offerings found in and around the town.

At the expo, town staff say they will be onhand alongside specialty instructors to showcase upcoming classes, answer questions about recreation activities and offer residents the opportunity to register for events held in the spring and summer time.

In addition to the opportunity to win prizes from a raffle, attendees will also receive information about a 10% discount for town activities when they register for the event — although town staff say this discount does not apply to swim passes or the adult bocce league.

All ages are welcome to the event and the town’s “Arts & Rec on the Go” will be in attendance with games and fun activities for kids.

As is tradition, the town will mail Spring Activity Guides and summer camps brochures to Danville, Alamo and Diablo residents beginning next Wednesday (Jan. 29), where interested residents can learn more about upcoming offerings from the town.

All activities will be available for viewing prior to the Expo on Monday (Jan. 27) online at www.danville.ca.gov/Activityguide.

Danville’s Recreation Expo will be held on Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front St. Town staff will be on hand starting at 9:30 to assist in account creation and registration.
