A Contra Costa County Public Works contractor is scheduled to perform tree removal and tree trimming operations along Miranda Avenue between Stone Valley Road and Bolla Avenue in Alamo starting this week, and county officials are advising commuters to expect delays.

The work is scheduled to take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m on Wednesday and Thursday as well as Feb. 10, and according to county officials, the project is being conducted in order to improve the security and fire safety for motorists and pedestrians in the area.

Located near Stone Valley Middle School, traffic control will be provided in order to direct the public around the immediate work area, however delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to find alternative routes around the area during this period.
