12 applicants vying for open seat

The San Ramon City Council plans to gather for a special meeting on Monday, where city officials will interview applicants and potentially pick an appointee to serve on the San Ramon Parks and Community Services Commission.

City officials are seeking to fill the vacancy left by former parks commissioner Sridhar Verose, who left the commission when he was elected to the San Ramon City Council back in December.

The 12 applicants the council plans to interview for the available position includes: Richard Adler, Steve Bried, Shaun Collins, Shailaja Dixit, Dinesh Govindarao, Patrick Gutierrez, Eva Harris, Ravneet Julka, Partha Mitra, Kumar Nallusamy, David Owens and Heidi Ellicott-Pesic.

The San Ramon City Council's special meeting is set to be held virtually at 5:30 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 22). Interested residents can view the meeting on the city's YouTube page or on its Zoom account using webinar ID 937 6968 8515.

Residents can submit public comments via email to [email protected] Comments must be sent prior to 4:30 p.m. on Monday and include "Public Comment 2/22/2021" in the subject line.
