The first program is set to stream this Friday (March 5) and will feature a collection of local leaders talking about the local response to the coronavirus pandemic, including the rollout of vaccinations in Contra Costa County and the challenges of providing frontline health care.

“Town Talks is the latest online outreach vehicle used by the Town of Danville,” town staff said. “The programs are intended to provide a safe way for residents to hear from their community leaders and get up to the minute information on the issues and topics facing Danville.”

In addition to Mayor Morgan, Friday’s talk will feature Contra Costa County deputy health officer Dr. Ori Tzvieli, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District Chief Paige Meyer and San Ramon Valley Regional Medical Center CEO Ann Lucena.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions in the chat during the talk or can email them in advance by emailing towntalks@danville.ca.gov.

The debut Town Talk will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday and will then occur on the first Friday of each following month. Residents can register to view the program online.

Residents who can not view the meeting live are welcome to watch a recording of it on the town’s YouTube channel.

Danville residents interested in learning more about their community are also encouraged to view “10-8: In Service,” a Facebook Live program held on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. by Police Chief Allan Shields and Lt. Jason Ingrassia.
