Firefighters make quick work of vegetation fire off Bollinger Canyon Road

Firefighters from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District quickly shut down a vegetation fire off Bollinger Canyon Road by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police shut down Bollinger north of Crow Canyon Road at 4:15 p.m. while firefighters stopped the fire's forward progress, just north of 18800 Bollinger Canyon Road.

Firefighters remain on the scene, monitoring the area for any flare-ups.

What was the cause of the fire? I have noticed an uptick in fires in San Ramon-is it drought or people?
