Change Makers talk
The Dougherty Station Library is hosting the final installment of its three-talk Change Makers series in honor of Women’s History Month next week.
Astrophysicist and artist Nia Imara is set to close out this month’s series, with a discussion on her work, the inspiration behind it, and plans to inspire others via the nonprofit organization Onaketa.
"Nia uses her work to express her love of color, people, and their stories," an announcement from the City of San Ramon said. "An oil painter inspired by literature and black culture, Dr. Imara is also an astronomy professor who explores the mysteries of star birth in the Milky Way and other galaxies throughout the universe."
The virtual talk is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday (March 28). More information is available at ccclib.org.
