With its opening day quickly approaching, City Center Bishop Ranch continues to grow and officials have recently announced that five new tenants will join the center’s lineup of shops and restaurants.
Set to open in November the 300,000-square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment center aims to create a central area for San Ramon residents to congregate, providing not just a local destination, but a regional one as well.
“We’re dedicated to attracting brands that are new to the trade area,” said Alexander Mehran Jr., president and chief operating officer of Sunset Development Company, developer of City Center Bishop Ranch. “The addition of these tenants broadens our mix, and will help us bring the very best shopping and culinary experiences to the East Bay.”
The three new dining choices to be offered at City Center include: Curry Up Now, the popular Bay Area fast casual Indian cuisine spot, Delarosa, which offers a modern take on classic Roman/Italian dishes, and SOCIAL-AFFAIR, which will offer artisanal food, wine and chai options.
“We’re ecstatic to be opening our seventh Curry Up Now location in the exciting new City Center Bishop Ranch,” said Akash Kapoor, co-founder of Curry Up Now. “We look forward to bringing our innovative Indian fast-casual eats, lovingly crafted signature cocktails, seasonal libations, and the U.S.’s only bunta marble soda bottle cocktail program to Contra Costa County.”
The two new retail stores include MONOKROME, a unique children’s boutique that offers designs from Instagram and Etsy shops for infants to 16-year-olds, and On the EDGE, a boutique specializing in shoes and accessories.
These five new locations will be joining an assortment of shops and eateries already set to call City Center home such as the Slanted Door, MIXT, C CASA, Mendocino Farms, Boba Guys, Fieldwork Brewing Company, Ramen Hiroshi, Roam Artisan Burgers, Trader, the. piece. store, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and West Elm to name a few.
I like it! It’s all coming together for November.
So far most of the restaurants don’t sound very appetizing (Vietnamese, Indian, artisanal, boba) and the retail stores are what we already have in Pleasanton. There is an On the Edge in Blackhawk Plaza. I’m not all that excited. Still waiting for a Yard House!
Ho w exciting for San Ramon and the Tri Valley! We will actually have a great place to meet. With Fieldwork, Mendocino Farms and the Slanted Door being in the mix, people will have lots of new places to try out. Originally this is what Blackhawk Plaza has tried to become….but it never has REALLY taken off, in less they have free concerts or other events. The management of the new shopping area have done their homework and the choices so far reflect that. If my friends and family try a restaurant and don’t like it, we just do not go back. That’s the fun of new things…options! All three of the above named restaurants and brewery have good solid followings and should do well..as do others. So excited!
Bring a House of Hoops by Foot Locker in the mix. There are store locations only on the west side of The Bay There are tons of sneakerheads in the tri-valley that want to spend their money.
How about a late night place that stays open until 2 like Applebees. I would suggest Macaroni Grill and Red Lobster for traditional hangouts that will provide consistently high foot traffic.
Still not impressed. Like someone commented above, if it didn’t work in Blackhawk, why would it work in San Ramon? Any traditional shops or restaurants that are easy on the wallet?
Like someone else mentioned, we need a restaurant that stays open late. In addition, I would like to see a lot of healthy options, my first choice would be a True Foods restaurant like in Walnut Creek (yummy)! I know a lot of people would like more restaurants serving GF and CF items.
Yawn! This is no more of a cit center than the Safeway strip mall on Crow Canyon. Lets face it this is a city center in name only.
One of the primary tenants at City Center is The Lot. A luxury Cinema/Restaurant. Their other locations in La Jolla, San Diego and Fashion Island in Newport Beach are open from Breakfast to thru past Midnight.
So for late night dinner or snacks they are the place to go, but bring your heavy wallet. At least there will be a place to go after 9pm.

Soooo happy there will be many exciting places to explore and socialize at
San Ramon is a great city
and this is just what it has needed and deserved…a proper downtown experience and place to gather
