The city of San Ramon is currently in the process of updating its Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation Master Plan, and city officials are inviting residents to share their thoughts on the process at the city’s next public workshop.

Set to be held next Wednesday (Aug. 28), residents are invited to provide feedback on the draft recommendations and share their thoughts on how the city can best meet the recreational desires of the community.

Specifically, the city’s new Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation Master Plan will set priority areas for how the city will develop parks services, such as trail maintenance, sports field expansion and community activities such as classes and cultural events.

“The Master Plan will be an implementation-oriented document to guide the development, redevelopment, expansion, and enhancement of the city’s parks, open spaces, trails, recreation facilities, and recreation programs,” city officials said in an email to residents. “The project will build upon the foundation set by previous parks and trails master plans and reflect the community’s values and guiding principles.”

San Ramon’s public workshop for the Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation Master Plan update will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 28 (Wednesday), at the San Ramon Community Center’s Fountain Room, 12501 Alcosta Blvd.
