Anthony Dominic Scotto
Jan. 13, 1927-May 1, 2013
Livermore, California

Submitted by Monica Scotto Chappell

Anthony was born at home, in Brooklyn, NY to immigrant Italian parents. He graduated from Saint Francis College where he received a degree in history, one of his passions. After discharge from the Army he joined his father and 4 brothers at the family wine shop, thus beginning his 30-year career in the wine industry. He pursued all aspects from retail, to wholesale, to importer but his true love was winemaking. But his true passion was the love for his family. Anthony is survived by his five children; sons Anthony, Dominic, and Gregory; and daughters, Felicia Barbalinardo and Monica Chappell along with 23 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother; Fr. Dominic Scotto, Chaplin at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.

The family would like to also say a special thank you to Dr. Apte for showing honor, and empathy, Anita Sharples of Heritage Estates as well as his devoted caregivers Agnes and Katie. All who knew him will miss his faith-filled and generous spirit. Friends and family are invited to a vigil and visitation on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Graham-Hitch Mortuary in Pleasanton and a funeral service at St. Charles Borromeo in Livermore. Burial to follow at St. Michael?s Cemetery. Graham-Hitch Mortuary 925-846-5624.
