Gary Lee Thompson, 62, of Wild Rose, WI, formerly of Pleasanton died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014. He was born July 2, 1952, in Moline, Illinois. He moved to Pleasanton in 1969 and enrolled in Amador Valley High School, graduating in 1971. Gary was dedicated to helping others, and served as a caregiver to many residents in the Pleasanton area.

After high school, Gary volunteered many hours at the local VA hospital, and with the Marines during their annual Toys for Tots drives. Gary became a bit of a fixture in the community, and was always ready to have a cup of coffee with you.

He is survived by his brothers Kenneth and Stan, a sister Connie, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
