William (Bill) N. Lorentz

William "Bill" N. Lorentz, of Boulder City, a kind and gentle man, active in his community and church, passed away Dec. 15, 2012. He was born Dec. 26, 1928 and raised on a ranch near Augusta, Montana. Bill went on to a diverse life and career. Bill earned money for college as a concrete worker on Hungry Horse Dam as well as in the Air Force ROTC program. Bill received a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State in Bozeman, Montana and went on to work in nuclear engineering designing power plants and nuclear submarines. His professional career also included operating a landfill and recycle program for the City of Santa Cruz as well as a Popcorn Store on the wharf in Santa Cruz.

Bill had many hobbies ranging from scuba diving, canoeing, bird watching to wood carving and loved traveling in his RV with Lee. Bill was an active partner in a Christmas Tree Farm in northern California which lead to an amazing variety of family adventures and lifelong friendships.

Bill is survived by his wife, Natha Lee; siblings, Henry and Lew; and blended family of 4 children with his first wife Mary Ann and three daughters with his second wife Natha Lee.

There are no words to describe how much Bill will be missed.
