Danville 'Parachute' author to speak

Danville resident Richard Bolles, author of "What Color Is Your Parachute?," will be the keynote speaker at the Career ReBoot Camp to be held Oct. 26-27 in San Rafael. The event also will present more than 30 of the nation's top career experts.

"The job market has changed dramatically in just the past two years," said Camp Director Carol Ann Wentworth. "Now job seekers must understand new tools like social Internet media, behavioral interviewing and personal branding. It's not your father's job market."

Participants receive a headshot photo by a professional photographer and a video of themselves in a mock interview. "The interview is the most important step in the hiring process yet less than 1 percent analyze their interviewing skills with a video," said Wentworth.
