Wolves triumph

The San Ramon Valley High School freshman basketball team is all smiles after clinching East Bay Athletic League first-place honors for the 2008-09 season after a 62-40 victory over cross-town rival Monte Vista on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Dougherty Valley High School gym. Both squads entered the game tied for first, but the Wolves stretched a 10-point halftime lead with a 19-point outburst in the third period to pull away. The frosh finished 11-3 in EBAL (18-8 overall).
