Why all of the commotion? We're talking about a few spigs of a leafy plant that helps people feel better about the messed up situation they are in!
By the way, what does it cost to put a helicopter in the air for hours?

Since this wasn't an emergency response to a crime, it would be nice if they didn't start their arrest and search at 3 p.m. on a school day just as the kids are gettting out of school. Scared as they drove by and saw the police and guns. A lot of very shook up kids.

They were probably on the free gov $ programs too---check the roads to Mexico for the missing trash.

"The investigation is based on that and other complaints that they're purely in it for the profit." And this is different from CVS or Walgreens...... how?

This statement makes me more of a believer that intervention was in order: "Santos-Gonzalez managed Happy Wellness Center while the home's three other occupants, who own the center, remain missing. One owner fled and another is a convicted felon, said Michelle Gregory, press information officer for the Department of Justice." In addition, it looks like they found several assault rifles.
They were a registered non-profit, so the profits are to go back in to the business and not to the owners. It's fine to profit from your business, but not if you declare non-profit status and benefit from that status.
I'm glad the police stepped in.

Only in CA would you have comments like these!
I’m with Sherry, but to all the other posters…
Who cares if it’s in Blackhawk or off of Old Blackhawk! Who cares about the time, it was probably better for all that it was school pickup time, they had weapons in the house, what if it was a different time and they were home to use the shotgun? Plus, my elementary-school child saw this and was not scared, more interested than anything else.
Let the police do their jobs. Stop complaining. I’m glad they found illegal drugs, excessive amounts of cash, and weapons, I’m convinced they were doing something wrong. We don’t need people pretending to lead good lives while hiding drugs and weapons in our town.
If you want to legalize pot, then do it the right way, don’t just pretend we don’t have laws. I agree that some laws are ridiculous, but they are in place to educate us and keep us safe. Don’t like it, then change the law!
Thank you police!

For all the haters, Old Victoria technically is in Blackhawk.

She’s not the home owner. Probably a renter or friend or child of one of the owners.
The homes on Victoria Place are much nicer than all those 1970’s monstrosities in Blackhawk.
Every time I drive in Blackhawk I want to barf, especially when I drive by that one house with the fake deer out front. Will somebody please call the HOA for cripes sake?

Victoria Place is in Danville, East Danville but still Danville. I feel bad for the owners who had their house damaged by the police because they rented to the drug dealers.

I totally agree with Marie. When assault rifles are involved there is no question this is not good for Blackhawk or any other neighborhood.
The comment by "Huh" comparing this safe haven to CVS or Walgreens was a stupid comment for sure.
Get rid of the so called doctors allowing anyone with a lame excuse to get a medicinal cards. There should be a more stringent checking on these so called sick people who need marijuana.
Those who truly need it I am on your side for sure.

Our police are generally well intenioned but to put a frickin helicopter in the air costing several thousand dollars to arrest a 27 year old woman who has a pot dispensary and include a SWAT team to accomplish a simple task is ridiculous. Very similar to our current congress and their bickering and irresponsible spending. A cadet from the academy could have handled that arrest !

My parent's live on Victoria. I was at their house at the time of the raid and the authorities did a good job of being safe and non-intrusive. Several children live on Victoria and since they confiscated assault rifles it is good that they intervened in the manner that they did.
And for those of you concerned about "Blackhawk' vs "East Danville"- grow up. County lines indicate that Victoria Pl is technically in Blackhawk... However, residents of Victoria and Magee Ranch would prefer to keep that a secret since they were smart enough not to live in a place guarded by a gate and a guy making minimum wage.

Please get your facts straight. This drug bust had absolutely nothing to do with Blackhawk. Victoria Place is in Danville

Jasmine - thanks for being a voice of reason. Clearly police intervention was in order here.
spcwt - what's your beef with how people decorate their lawns? Why force them to conform to your opinion of what is tasteful by involving the HOA?
