The Golden State Warriors on Tuesday formally announced their plans to build a new arena in San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood, a shift from the team's original plans along the city's waterfront.

This makes sense.... Current - great parking, excellent freeway access, dedicated Bart station, easily accessible for all east bay communities.

Proposed - terrible San Francisco traffic, limited if any parking, while closer to the major "sports hub" (yea, right) of San Francisco, completely alienates the LARGER fan base outside of San Francisco... Makes perfect sense...
The owners are giving a FINGER to the fans NOT in San Francisco, on the EAST side of the bay, who have supported this team for decades....
