I cannot find the right words to say how much it breaks my heart that our children are having to deal with this. I am praying it is just a prankster and that they catch the creep very soon. Thank you Charlotte Wood administration, Danville police and SRVUSD for taking this seriously.

I hope they catch whoever did this and prosecute. The defacing of property should carry a heavy fine and their photos should be in all news media. Many of our communities are ruined by graffiti and the morons who tag as a hobby,or pasttime. Clearly they are on the fringe of society with nothing better to do and they don't work or they wouldn't have time sneak around and do this. Securityguards might work to help catch them.

It's the parents of the perpetrator that should be brought before the community to apologize for the lack of parenting they committed in raising a child that for a moment could even think of doing something like this. The denial on the part of some parents that they have a real and significant problem in their midst is astonishing.

Bill-I partially agree with you on the matter. While I agree that parenting comes into play and is vital in raising children who care...and respect the consequences of their actions...there is also a part of me that knows kids can be "stupid" regardless of their IQ.

Why did the kid do this...were they actually going to harm someone...or is it a cry for attention...was it a "dare" between a couple middle schoolers or which case multiple people are responsible (regardless of who physically wrote it down).

Louise-I would not be surprised if it turned out to be a local student who was testing his/her boundaries or just seeing what he/she could get away sad as that is. I might be wrong...I might be right...but I think it would be too "tunnel" visioned to speculate it is a fringe of society individual.

I'm not defending anyone in the matter...just proposing some conversation that we should not just go and crucify only the parents for doing a bad job...or blame people we think are tagging the area because they don't work or go to school.

It was a sad day in my house in that I was worried/scared/concerned to send my 10 yr old to school today. None of us should have to feel that way for our kids in what should be the most enjoyable times of their lives.

It doesn't help that the town of Danville offers graffiti art classes to the kids. Good Lord.

U people act surprized? Danville isn't as precious & perfect as every1 thinks! I bet the people r more pissed at the graffeti than the kids safety! Honestly! How many kids have gone missing? What about the girl who ran away & killed herself? This town is more concerned w/ money, houses, drama, & setting people up! It's full of lazy women who don't work & mooch off rich guys! The cops r more like assessories like the babies kids r having these days! Y don't u people concern yourself w/ more important things like watching your kids, talking 2 them, spending time w/ them instead of throwing money at them & buying them anything & partying w/ them?! Again, r kids r suffering at the hands of the parents! No discipline! No way will I raise my kid here! I survived it thank god!

Lighten up. Your comment is idiotic, and you sound like a moron. You generalize about the area, parents, kids, etc. How could anyone take your view seriously?

We need much tougher penalties when vandals and thieves are caught. Right now, the slap on the wrist and defensive parents are not cutting it.

Dear are the one that should lighten up...Your comment against Justice is out of line.

Justice sees Danville the way I see Danville and you know I see Danville as a giant mess. Everything Justice said is very commonsense (by the way stop flattering yuorself with that user name)have your head in the sand like most folks in Danville.

Listen to what I am saying, you might learn something...

TRUTH HURTS?! You must be one of those moms or parents.. It's the truth! How is it not? The info is in the papers, online & duh, all throughout the town square news! Lol! Ur angry cuz of my opinion?! What's one opinion? I have every right to complain & view my opinions. I'm not giving out names or "ratting" unlike alot of people who do here.. I must have hit a nerve that has truth to it.

Whahoo to you girlfriend! Thanks for the support! Super sweet of you to defend & conquer! It's the solid truth! That town has become worse! A wanna be Beverly Hills. Back in the 80's, it wasn't so bad.. My uncle was on the danville police dept. In fact, he was very well known. He always took out the trash & made danville cool, then.. Sadly he passed in the early 90's.. That's when I feel danville took a nose dive! Especially w/ dirty cops! Ugh!

The matter at hand is the kids safety here.. However it lies in the hands of the parents & school district. They need to protect kids better w/ enforced rules, locked doors, school ID badges 4 kids, security cameras.. Better yet, I'm sure the town can afford metal detectors 4 all schools?! Y waste taxpayers $ by "looking" 4 vandals, when that $ can be used on "hi-tech detectors" so your precious richly schools don't look "Ghetto, Hood" schools?

Thank you so much to the school administration and district employees who came out and were so visible during the week. Especially to the guards who were walking around the school; and even though they were not the youngest and most athletic, they did their jobs even when their bodies were sore and tired.

Thank you to the Danville Police. I know you were doing your jobs, but it made everyone more comfortable seeing you throughout the week.

As for yesterday…

I was one of the many parents who had the very difficult decision whether to send my children to school or to keep them home. Ultimately, after being reassured by school administration and police, we decided that 5/8/14 would be the safest day to send our children to school, especially to CWMS.

I was happy to see employees out on El Capitian waving hello, then turning into the parking lot to see such a united front of support by so many people. Students were greeted with fist bumps and big smiles. Parents were greeted with hellos and reassuring words. So…thank you to all who went out of their way to make a bad situation more comfortable.

TO THE CHILDREN who were so brave to go to school…good for you…you should be so proud of yourselves! You proved to everyone that you are not going to let some punk take away your right to get an education. You can teach others that we should not live in fear! We need to stand up and protect what is ours!

I also want to point out that several of the parents who made the hard decision to drop children off stayed in the CWMS area. Walking their dogs, exercising, driving by…You are great parents.

As for today and beyond…God bless our children!

Every community deals with such things (palo alto HS suicides, saratoga abuse of HS girl, etc.), its a fact of life.

What matters is how the community, school, PD comes together to deal with it. Excellent response, communication and understanding from all involved.

Well done!

One more thing…

The Town of Danville had many maintenance workers working at Osage Park and around CWMS yesterday. This may be a coincidence, but thank you.

Julia and Justice: Peas in a pod.

It's easy to take shots at others. What's harder is to offer suggestions for improvements.

As for most of the generalizations that both of you make, they are idiotic and moronic. "Mooching off their husbands", sure. "Richly schools" (richly is not a word), Ghetto, hood. I doubt that you even know what a ghetto is or have spent any time in any "hood". And there are plenty of wives in Danville who work and help with the family finances.

Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, and by making yours public, we're able to form one of you, as well.

Julia, if Danville is such a giant mess, than it might make sense to move somewhere else where it's not as much of a mess.

My understanding is that the school district and / or the city has offered a $1,000 reward. Perhaps not a huge sum by Danville standards, but enough for a school kid to buy some shiny new widget that he or she has been pining for. And I suspect that somewhere there is a kid who knows who did the original graffiti.
Apparently one of the threats was felt penned in a bathroom at Baldwin, in the gym - cafeteria room. Which seems odd. That might imply it was a kid not more than 1i, unless older kids are playing in there too, which seems doubtful.

Oops... that should read "11", not "1i"

Common sense??? Why don't you take your own advice? You sound like a huge marter! You agreed that people are entitled 2 their own opinions, so why aren't we? Don't u have something better 2 do? This town square is here 4 a point. 4 people 2 vent, view & question.. Who the hell are you 2 TRY & prevent that from happening? Shame on you! Especially 4 being a bully! this is twice now that YOU have verbally attacked Me! You DON'T know who I am or where I've been or lived! You don't have any right 2 accuse me of NOT experiencing life issues. Have you EVER left danville? Try respecting your elders! I DID suggest IMPROVEMENTS, that you clearly talked poorly of. If you don't like what I'm posting don't read it or respond! Karma & honesty go hand & hand. Lastly, RICHLY is a word that you can find in any dictionary! Your getting & making this WAY 2 personal, especially 4 someone who doesn't even LIVE in danville..

I have no problem with people voicing their own opinions. But when you air an opinion that sounds ignorant, you can't be surprised when people point that out. That's all I did.

Lighten up a bit...there's no great conspiracy (that I know of) in Danville that is targeting you. But when you put something out there that sounds stupid, and you get called on it, don't cry. You made some really ignorant points about Danville wives (my wife works) and that was dumb. And living in Alamo is hardly different than Danville.

So, go ahead and vent. And when others respond, remember that's part of the deal.

Sure sorry some unhappy little teeney-bopper has taken to making graffiti threats of more damage. May someone catch him/her/them and take care of business in seeing to it thatjust punishment is rendered IN ADDITION to servitude for the next year or two in REMOVING town graffiti wherever it appears as a part of "community service" for the little darlings.
