A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck the San Ramon Valley just after midnight Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was centered in southern Danville, near the intersection of Greenbrook Drive and Camino Ramon, at 12:06 a.m., according to the USGS.

There were no reports of significant damage or injury, according San Ramon Valley Fire and Danville town officials.

  1. Yes, we felt it just before 12:10 AM as a short rumble of maybe 10 seconds in duration. No sharp bumps on this one. We live about two blocks from the epicenter. Hopefully this little hiccup will relieve stress along our local fault lines.

  2. I too felt it in SR. It felt like someone was walking on my roof, my shower doors rattled and then it was over. Not the usual rocking or bumping as usual.
