Teachers union honors best of the best in San Ramon Valley education

Around 350 local teachers, education leaders and community members filled the Blackhawk Museum as the San Ramon Valley Education Association recognized some of its top members and supporters during an award ceremony Thursday evening.

So glad to see Gillespie-Oss as the new principal and with a new counselor there too. Perhaps she can clean up the mess left by the previous principal and counselor at this site. The students and staff are thriving and I am one grateful parent. Prior visits to the school last year looked like a circus was in town. Principal and counselor had no clue and the poor teachers had no support. Kids thought they ran the place. It's awesome to see the change Gillespie-Oss has created - the place is thriving from what I see.

It's a relief to see a competent, compassionate, capable principal in charge of Del Amigo making a difference in the community. Del hasn't had that in a long time thanks to the disaster that was the last few years.
