We've seen this poor guy for the last two years. He would wander across our hillside. He never came close. He looked like he was starving too.

Animals like this poor one should be humanely dispatched, not watched and treated like some pathetic spectacle.

Very sad indeed. Although I'm sure that Animal Control resources are tight, it seems that much more could have been done to capture and treat or humanely euthanize this poor creature before it had to be killed by a car. I admire its ability to survive this long given its health issues. Rest in Peace, poor creature.

Very sad. If a similar situation ever develops again, ideally best to capture, treat the mange, then release in a much more rural habitat. Coyotes were here long before us, we altered their environment for the worse.
