If it politically correct to bring in folks then it shall be done and all the protestations will fall on deaf ears. I am not clear if this project has a percentage of low income housing to meet the federally mandated number each community must provide. It has already been decided folks!

@Bill - federally mandated? The federal government does not require Danville to include low income housing in the project.

Per the staff report: back when the general plan update was done, the town had to designate a certain number of acres to be available for low income development per state obligations. The owner is not required to develop it and include low income units; that decision is left to the market, and the owner elected to include a few low income units.

I'd also say it is pretty far from certain that this will be approved. Take a look at some of the video clips of the town council posted on Facebook by group that opposes the development. The council didn't mix words with the owner.

It really is beneficial for everyone to read the reports and do a little homework before chiming in.

Danville Citizens for Responsible Growth (DCRG) have done a great job of demonstrating that democracy in Danville isn't dead. While the Diablo Road complex may, ultimately, receive approval, be it partial or full, residents need to respond similarly to any future proposal that threaten the quality of life for town residents in any location.
