Incredibly well written article Dennis! Thanks for the clarity in describing the past experiences and how it has lead to understanding both the opportunity and the challenge of this year's tournament!
As a SRLL manager/coach of many years for our now college aged son's teams, I love that Coach Grant is breaking the game down into smaller focal points! We always had a mantra for our teams to "win each individual inning"...and if you go out focused for each inning with this micro-goal, then you'll compete better and will give your team the best chance to win. And if a better team wins on that given day, you hold your head high that you stayed focused, competed...and represented your community in the process!
Good luck boys!
