SRPD: Armed man robs Walgreens for painkiller that treats opioid addiction

San Ramon police are on the lookout for a masked man who allegedly robbed a Walgreens pharmacy while armed on Thursday morning.

That’s really the best photo image of the suspect that a Walgreens store can provide? I’m assuming that the suspect walked right up to the pharmacy counter to make his demand, so Walgreens doesn’t have HD camera’s either at their front door or the pharmacy counter? Come in Walgreens; you’ve got to help yourselves by giving them police and the public a chance to help identify criminals! Get some better cameras! I have way better cameras protecting my home!

That does seem strange. They must not be releasing it. Same thing happened at the Danville Walgreens and they had a decent picture to release that ended up helping catch the guy. He did have personlized plates so not the smartest.

Why do commenters on local news sites always so desperately want to see the faces and know the exact ethnic makeup of the criminals in these stories?
I wish I could resurrect Freud to examine the psychosexual impulse behind it - it's so fascinating.
