Patrons sought for public art display 'Dogs of Danville, Unleashed!'

A five-month-long public art display, "Dogs of Danville" will feature 15 artistically painted statues of mans best friend, strategically placed throughout downtown and accompanied by a walking tour and passport program for residents to explore the town.

Cool. Reminds me of Cows on Parade in Chicago many years ago. It was a very successful marketing campaign to promote the City. At night, they randomly moved life size statutes of beautifully painted cows throughout the city. It was cool see so many artistic and creative cow statutes popping up around town. I think they held a contest for Chicagoans to vote on their favorite Cow. It was quite a buzz for one summer.
