Waste Management discontinues 'At Your Door Special Collection' in San Ramon

City staff are currently working on the development of a new plan for the disposal of hazardous waste and recycling of electronics but in the interim residents can safely dispose of items such as used paint and pharmaceuticals in a few different ways.

Since this is a Danville San Ramon publication, it would be really helpful to include some/any information about how this effects Danville residents and if the services have been discontinued by the company in general or only in San Ramon.

Thanks for your comment, Danville Residents. The change affects only San Ramon, as Danville (and the rest of the Valley, except San Ramon) have a different waste service provider. They belong to the Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority (RecycleSmart), which contracts with Republic Services. The city of San Ramon maintains its own, independent garbage contract.
