Serious candidate? He isn't even a serious congressman.

Swalwall is a disgrace to our community,State and the Congress. Electing him has been a major mistake. He is a component in the tax and spend policies and sanctuary state status that is making California a less desirable State to do business and reside.

Eric Swalwell is a combination Tin Man and Straw Man from the Wizard.

He has no human contact with people when he stands and attempts to deliver.

Just running is not enough, need charisma which he has not nor real ideas

Swalwell was never a serious candidate, and was just doing it to get some TV air time, and for general fund-raising purposes. It would be nice if he could be voted out of Congress as well, in 2020....

On the negative side, apparently billionaire Trump-hater Tom Steyer has reversed course and decided to run for President. He has the money to self-finance his campaign, I suppose. But in terms of the issues, as a one-note anti-Trump candidate, Steyer will have to get in line behind all of the other Dems. And I don't think the guy scores very high on the "likeability" test. He has all the warmth and charm of a barracuda....

Boy, Swalwell sure look great today, didn't he?. LOL!!! What a buffoon! He repeatedly asked Mueller questions Mueller could not answer.

Hey Swalwell! Care to comment on your lies about President Trump being a Russian agent?

What a great show!

Hopefully SMALLWALL put another nail in his coffin today. He never fails to look like a complete fool every time he appears before the public. Anyone who votes for this guy is complicit in his incompetence.

I saw the video today where Swalwell answered yes to the question, "do you think Trump is a Russian agent". The interviewer was Chris Mathews NBC.

@ Michael Austin

You are correct Michael. And isn’t it interesting that this clown Swalwell was once a prosecutor? He has absolutely no evidence to prove President Trump is a Russian agent. It makes me wonder what kind of a prosecutor he was. He behaves more like a spoiled child than a grown man.

When I listened to him grill Mueller today, I realized how unprepared Swalwell was - not that Mueller was any better prepared for sure. The the only thing Swalwell did was regurgitate old talking points. Furthermore, Swalwell looked frustrated when Mueller repeatedly told him he would not discuss several questions.

More to the point though, Swalwell never asked Mueller if he believed President Trump was a Russian agent. Swalwell is too much of a coward to ask Mueller that question because he knows it’s not true.

Great, Mr. Malcolm - YOU run against him.

I doubt you'd crack 20% of the vote - most of your constituency is right here among these fowl commenters.

@ Audubon

LOL! That your best two cents, Aududrival? Mad because old stumbling bumbling Mueller didn’t give you what you want? Mad because your boy Swalwell looked stupid?

But let us not focus on your angst. Instead, let us focus on the topic at hand. Again, your boy Swalwell said President Trump is a Russian agent. You believe that? Audubon? Proof?

You sound like a spoiled brat who didn’t get his way. Offer something substantial here and we can debate. Otherwise, just go away and wallow in your misery.

Way to go Malcolm. You gave Audubon a good tongue lashing which he duly earned. Those who support Small well are on the same mental level as is he. You can add pencil neck Schiff and Nadler to that list.

2012: Swalwell (D) 52%, Stark (D) 48%

2014: Swalwell (D)70%, Bussell (R) 30%

2016: Swalwell (D) 74%, Turner (R) 26%

2018: Swalwell (D) 73%, Peters (R) 27%

So, tell me again - who's the 'spoiled brat who hasn't gotten his way?' Buzz on, little gadfly.

Smallwell's winning elections is not evidence of his intellect or common sense. It is evidence of a constituency ignorant of both. You can add that label to Adam Shift, AOC, and her three malcontents.

Hey Audubon, I know it's hard, but try to stay focused. Okay?

What does Swalwell's polling numbers vs Pete Stark have anything to do with what I was talking about? Hmm?

I mean, if this is your idea of how to deflect from Swalwell's lies, then I have to say you're pretty pathetic.

Look, there is no defense to lie - at least not in Swalwell's case. But to try and cover for him by submitting such stupidity, truly shows that your are a coward, or at the very least, have a hard time with reading comprehension.

Remember: Ignorance can be helped, but stupidity is sustained.

Um, did you choose Audubon because of a certain bird? If so, this one would suit you:

Cuckoo Bird (you had to know I was going there)

The female cuckoo lays a single egg in its chosen hosts' nest, eating one of the original eggs so that the host won't spot a difference.

Oh, what a nasty little bird. You see, that little bird reminds me of you and Swalwell.

Y'all trumpty dumpsters don't have sense enough not to face into the wind. Don't come back inside 'til your pant legs dry-off.

Your orange boy is headed for a big fall.

Pete Stark was a true believer in his cause of liberalism, and at least with him you know what you are getting. Swalwell, on the other hand, only believes in himself feeding at the public troth, and will lie and say and do anything to stay in office.

First, Swalwell campaigns as a "tough on crime prosecutor" to get Republicans and independents to vote him into office over Mr. Stark. Once elected, he completely abandons his campaign promises, and gives the finger to those Republicans and independents whose votes put him over the top against Mr. Stark. Swalwell now panders to the extreme left, with outrageous evidence less allegations against President Trump, such as him being an agent of Russia. Swalwell's voting record on crime issues is as far left extreme as Barbara Lee, giving criminals rights over victims.

Swalwell then decides to run for President, promising he will not seek reelection to his House seat no matter what happens. Of course, it is just another self serving lie, and when he fails to gain even 1% of the vote, he then announces he is running for his seat again.

I encourage all Republicans, Independents, and Democrats to vote for his Democratic opponent in the House race, as at least you know where she actually stands on issues, and will be honest with her constituents. Swalwell, on the other hand, is a serial liar, whose time in elected office needs to end.

@ Rancher: Truth eludes those that lack to capacity to understand - such as yourself.

@ RWR: Well said. Swalwell's personality is in "Stark" contrast to Pete. But more importantly, as you stated above, you knew where Stark stood on issues. He certainly did not pretend to be somebody he's not.

President Trump has flaws, warts and all. And yes, he too has been guilty of not telling the truth. But to the degree in which Swalwell and Schiff have lied, it sets a dangerous precedent for future generations of politicians.

Rancher is from Blackhawk? Now, there's an oxymoron for you.

Hey Rancher, why is Trump headed for a fall? I mean, you sound like a sound bite from two years ago.

You also sound like your boy Swalwell. You, like him, say things you can't back up.
