That seems such an odd time for a fire to start. Early morning hours around 3am? Thank you to all firefighters working to keep is safe!

I did not get a Danville PD alert about this, which concerns me. I only got an alert recently about a road closure due to a downed tree.

Hi Melissa,

We didn't put out any alerts on this incident because it was east of Clayton on the other side of Mt Diablo, and we weren't even getting any smoke from the fire in our area.

If the fire had been headed in our direction, or if we were seeing a significant amount of smoke from the fire, then we would be sure to have alerts out. We monitor these situations, in case we do need to alert the community.

Hope this helps.
