Rebecca Bauer-Kahan: A new voice in Sacramento

Original post made on Sep 6, 2019

First-term Tri-Valley Assemblywoman Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, in an interview ahead of the new floor session, said staying true to her constituents' priorities remains at the forefront of her decision-making in Sacramento.

She showed her complete lack of credibility and lack of honesty by falsely claiming on her campaign brochures and on the actual ballot that she was a "professor" at Santa Clara Law School, which is not true. Anyone associated with higher learning knows the difference between teaching a part time seminar and being a "lecturer" or "adjunct professor", or being a fully tenured "professor". She knowingly lied about her background, simply to win the election.

She also is claiming to be an attorney for the "environment", where in reality she was a mere associate, not even a junior partner, at a firm representing polluters and defendants who were sued for destroying our environment.

Katherine Baker was an honest, trustworthy, credible, hard working representative, who had the respect of both parties and her constituents. If Bauer-Kahan had not lied about her past, Ms. Baker would have won the election. I hope Ms. Baker runs against Bauer-Kahan in the next election, and calls her out for her lies and misrepresentations about her past.

Bauer-Kahan was only elected through the corrupt practice of "ballot harvesting" where Democratic Party operatives go door to door collecting unused mail-in ballots, fill them out in favor of their candidate and then deliver them to the polls on election night. Katherine Baker was one of the few truly competent legislators we had in state government. If it was not for the Democratic Party's underhanded, shady election practices, Katherine Baker would still be our representative in the State Assembly.

So disappointed that Catharine wasn't re-elected. She really worked hard for our district and listened to our concerns. At one of Rebecca's so-called town meetings, written questions she didn't like weren't answered. Notice she never says anything about taxes, which are driving businesses and people out of CA. Only the rich and the poor will be left, along with politicians like Rebecca.

From reading the comments, sounds like she fits right in with the rest of the lying politicians.
