Judge approves billions for PG&E settlements; firm says bankruptcy milestone reached

A federal bankruptcy judge in San Francisco on Dec. 17 approved two settlements totaling $24.5 billion between PG&E and victims of 2017 and 2018 North Bay wildfires caused by electrical equipment failures.

PG and E should not be allowed to raise rates on their customers to pay their fine. This should be coming out of their pockets.

pge needs to be held responsible for mine and my neighbors losses in the Camp fire. i think they should be broken up into several smaller companies that are only tasked with a certain sized area of the state. get rid of monopolizing corps who only care about profits instead of potential loss of life due to their negligence.
