a citizen owning a gun legally, fears for his life during a home invasion and gets charged with murder.

yet a police officer who jumped in front of a car and fires 10 rounds in fear for his life and no charges are brought against him.

double standard society!!!

The victim is lucky he's alive. Give Navarro life in prison without parole.

Alamo - the victim of home invasion wasn't charged with murder. The suspect was. Reading comprehension isn't your style.

Thanks for the discourse. To attempt to further clarify, Rickey White is the defendant charged with murder, identified as an accomplice in the original robbery attempt (police allege he worked with Adrianna Navarro to break into the condo of another man, Navarro's ex-boyfriend). Navarro died after being shot during the robbery attempt; police say it remains unclear whether the fatal bullet was fired by accomplice White or by the ex-boyfriend in self-defense. Police have declined to publicly identify the ex-boyfriend, citing victim privacy. Only White has been charged with a crime.

And Nick, to clear another info in your comment "Give Navarro life in prison without parole.", Navarro is the woman who died, White is the one charged with murder. Navarro's ex-boyfriend's name is not disclosed.
