What about the schools???? What are we waiting for? Most of all the Bay Area schools are closing except for SRVSD, WHY????
1 kid infected= 12 others infected. Is that what your waiting on?????
This is getting ridiculous!

6 San Jose Firefighters Confirmed with COVID-19
80+ San Jose Firefighters Quarantined (exposed this family, kids and community that live in)
Kaiser Nurses protesting that local Bay Area Kaiser is not providing them with safety supplies and protecting
Santa Clara County is under strict restrictions
Santa Clara County is the epic center for CA
(Removed). Healthcare workers in Santa Clara County are a risk to the community than people that traveled or a regular citizen with a non healthcare job. Look on CDC website. It's unfortunate but anyone in the medical field and emergency services is a risk to others.
Schools should not be "day care". Elevated risk healthcare workers should keep their children home to prevent community spread. Are these parents not aware of what is happening in this nation? We have multi-generation families. We are trying to mitigate the spread. If the school won't shut down why will these parents , or any healthcare professional, keep their child at home ????
Some of the post have been removed , and some content has been removed . If you work in Santa Clara County as an Emergency Medical Responder or RN, KEEP your child at home !!!!!!!!!!!! HELP us flatten the curve, and mitigate the spread. Parents and community have the right to freedom of speech. Please don't send your kids to school and keep our schools safe.

1st, I agree, schools should be closed.
Angered that the SRVUSD has waited until end of day on Friday to decide what to do. Step up and make the tough descion that needs to be made. Those of us that have already left work for the weekend and have to work on Monday needed time to figure out where are kids are going to stay during the day. Almost all other bay area school districts made the hard decision early on today.

What about the teachers? The teachers are going to be required to gather on campus to work while kids stay home?

For up to date information from the San Ramon unified School District, please visit their home page at Web Link
Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) has a dedicated corona virus information page at Web Link
The current guidance for social distancing to help prevent the spread can be found here Web Link Please be sure to check the main web page for updates before attending events, we expect guidance to be update at any time.
Trina, based on the social distancing guidance outlined above, CCHS recommends gatherings of no more than 50 people, staying at arms length (3ft) at all times. I would contact Golden Skate before going to see what their attendance expectations are.

In response to the upset parent about the firefighter and nurse sending their kid to school. What do you expect the parents to do? These parents are on the front lines risking everything for you and your family and you want to punish them for that???? If you were at all educated on this you would understand that if we stop allowing these children to go to school then the parents must stay home with them and then when you call 911 a firefighter won’t show up or when you go to the hospital with your sick child there are no nurses there..... And most of the firefighters that I know have self quarantined themselves from their children and family and havnt seen their family in over 2 weeks.... health care workers are taking full precautions and statisticss show that YOU are more likely to give it to a child at the school than the firefighter and the nurse. So maybe you should keep your kids from school.... please think before write negative stuff about the people who protect our family and community.
