County jail inmate tests positive for COVID-19 at Martinez Detention Center

Contra Costa Health Services announced Wednesday that an inmate at the Martinez Detention Facility has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Not sure why this is newsworthy.

Just keep the inmates incarcerated until they do their time and stop releasing them early. I am reading too many stories of early releases or not even going to jail as they normally would and then the criminal is caught again committing another felony while business owners who try to reopen shop just to put food on their tables and survive are getting fined or even jailed. Insanity!
