I fully support and endorse Sunset and Bishop Ranch's development plan and architectural design for the proposed City Center Hotel at the corner of Camino Ramon and Bishop Drive.
Like all things Sunset Development and Bishop Ranch do, this an extremely well-planned addition to our City Center. I especially like the attention paid to the Sustainable Green aspects this project considered. I have no objections to the design height simular to Chevron which has existed for decades and I believe the design fits in with the valley floor well.

Unlike SF or Oak companies that get preference as a local business on local projects hiring local labor - San Ramon has not taken any steps to ensure that their own businesses paying the expensive rents and hiring the local community are pursued with a documented good-faith effort and given preference to the contractor that hires local contractors. This is a missed opportunity for our community to work and support from within. This is done by every other large city on every large development or City project. This is just the LBE care of a city - this does not address any of the lack of hiring preference to contractors that are MBE, WBE, DBE, DVBE, SDVOSB participation. I hope for some leadership on this front on future and upcoming projects.
