Danville council to review sidewalk vendor regulations, commissioner recruitment process

The Danville Town Council is set to hear presentations that will cover topics ranging from the regulation of sidewalk vendors to a review of the recruitment and interview process for town commissioners on Tuesday.

In references to the Virus the article talks about not being "out of the woods" yet. I understand that there still are cases and deaths and that it has not gone away like the seasonal flu but are there any numbers that can be shared about our town and our region about Covid cases and Covid deaths each month this year?
Has opening up in some businesses, such as restaurants, resulted in increased numbers of deaths or are we finding that it is "safe"? Of course we need to factor out some factors, such as mass protests, etc to get the clearest picture.
Curious, since the shutdown is creating both short term and long term problems.
