I do not know who is on the editorial board that made the recommendations that all are Democrat candidates. I am a former Democrat and Independent who has shifted in more recent years. To be fair I do not know about most of the recommendations but I do know that Swalwell and DeSaulnier are two people that I could never vote for. And that is based on their behavior and rhetoric over the past few years. I do not expect to change the vote of anyone but am disappointed by the recommendations. A non-recommendation would be more honest than the accolades being attached to them by some anonymous editorial board.

I don’t think the editorial board or any board of a generally circulated publication should take any political stance. It’s a real turn off. If someone wants to sign their name to an actual editorial about a particular candidate, so be it but to have the entire unnamed editorial board making sweeping endorsements seems far reaching and quite polarizing to those who may disagree.
