Recall debate continues as petitions hit streets targeting three SRVUSD board members

The Council of PTA letter violated the PTA 501(c)(3) status. It's unbelievably irresponsible and the leadership should be removed in order to preserve the non-profit status of the SRVUSD PTA.

This "study" has not been removed as the PTA Council claims. Also, there are TWO BOE trustees on the PTA council.. a direct conflict of interest and pure contamination. An unbiased report means its free from favoritism. Pro-recall with supportive reasoning was never used in this "study". See for yourself:

Our children are long gone from the SRVSD, so I don't really have a "dog in this hunt." But when I read through the article I found this:

"Mintz, who has served more than 15 years on the board, said he remains "disappointed" that some members of the community have resorted to the threat of recall as a tactic, but said he remains steadfast in returning students to in-person learning as soon as it is safe to do so."

Fifteen years on the Board of Education? Can't Mintz find something else to do with his spare time? While I am not disparaging his efforts, because I don't know what he's done on the Board, I do think having no turnover in elective office is a bad thing in general. If he had children in the district 15 years ago, they are no longer in any of the district's schools, so one wonders exactly why he's still there. No mention of the terms of the other two Board members affected by the recall effort, but the same logic should apply to them as well. The idea that we have to resort to a recall, to effectuate needed change is a sad commentary on our elective state of affairs today. The Danville Town Council is much like the BOE!

Where can I sign? These people have failed our children. Time to go!
