We have been investigating a report contending that the opposite fault is what occurred, but thus far it has not been corroborated. I spoke with San Ramon PD again this week, and while their investigation is still ongoing (standard toxicology report pending), they say every indication including video evidence is that the truck driving straight on Crow Canyon had a red light and Guinee turning left had a protected green arrow when the crash occurred at the intersection. We likely won't publish a new story until the police investigation is finalized in an estimated two weeks. That said, any witnesses to the crash can contact me at [email protected] if they want to share their perspective on what happened.
